# Step by Step guide for initial installation
1) Download the latest fullinstaller from the download-area on our Homepage
2) Make sure you have the latest driver for your graphic-card installed
3) Deinstall your curent FlightDeck-installation (if already installed before)
4) Delete the folder where your FlightDeck was installed (it will not be removed by the de-install routine)
5) Create a new folder direct on C: (e.g. C:\FlightDeck) Don't use the Windows-Standard-Folder e.g. c:\program files\ !!
6) De-Activate your antivirus-software
7) Install FlightDeck from the latest downloaded files in the folder you created in step 5. In case an error-window is shown during installation, please don't proceed. (If the internet-connection is not good, it can happen in rare cases the downloaded file is corrupt. In this case you have to download the installation-files again)
8) After installation Re-Activate your antivirus-software
9) Before starting the new installed FlightDeck for the first time, please make sure you have internet-connection and the dongle is plugged in. Don't connect any hardware (Joystick, etc.) when you start FlightDeck the first time
10) In case you run FlightDeck on a laptop, make sure you start FlightDeck with the correct graphic-adapter (not with the internal graphic card)
11) Check if FlightDeck ist running o.k.
12) If that's the case, quit FlightDeck
13) Plug in your hardware (joystick, etc.)
14) Start FlightDeck and set up your joystick
